Rowie

My brother, Rowie, is a talented and creative welder who just completed a seven foot tall kinetic scupture he calls 'Ball Art'. It is a series of winding tracks and obstacles in which 6 two inch steel ball bearings travel about its course. Since he does not currently have a website, I am dedicating a page to display this, and soon, other pieces from his collection.

***Rowie's 'Ball Art' was on display at The Revolving Museum in Lowell, MA during their 6 month installation of 'Wonders of the World IV: PLAYLAND' it ran from Feb. 14th to July 27th 2003. The piece, which was displayed in the main lobby of the museum, pulled in thousands of viewers in between its run from Valentines Day thru the Lowell's Folk Festival at the end of July. The Gallery (located at 22 Shattuck St. in Lowell, MA 978.YES.ARTS) true to form has a complete new line-up of artists and Rowie is now looking for a permanent home for his giant sculpture. Coming soon to this location will be photos of his other metalsmith masterpieces and hopefully a preview of his latest projects.
