In 1994, Kevin Stevenson and I started an imaginary Record Company. It's intentions were to help promote and distribute all music coming out of Lowell, MA. ...Then we realized you need money for this . This is my attempt at coming close to our original intentions. Besides the original Poorhouse Records compilation and the Shods CD's, there are actually no other albums on the label. In fact, the Poorhouse Records 'office' basically consists of a Lowell P.O. Box and a rubber stamp with the Poorhouse logo lost in a drawer at some cafe in Lowell called the Sugar Shack. Hopefully this page will help you seek out other Lowell locals and get you in touch with their websites and emails. Write me if you are curious about any of the artists without websites.
