Between 1994 and 1996 the Shods' alter-ego band, The Invaders, played the
best of early 1950's rock and roll.
We paid tribute to our favorite rockabilly artists including Elvis Presley,
Johnny Burnette, and Billy Lee Riley.

Although we eventually fell in with Boston's thriving rockabilly scene, we paid our dues playing in the alley between Johnny's Pizza and The Sugar Shack coffee shop in Lowell, MA. (the guy with yellow hair in the photo is Torr Skoog of the Kings of Nuthin' at age 16)
